Zgornji Dolič

The cycling route that leads from Huda luknja brings you to Zgornji Dolič, a settlement in the Municipality of Mislinja. Gornji Dolič, where the parish of St. Florian is located, has an interesting history. The name Dolič derives from the past, when the place was known as Dolnič. At that time, most of the inhabitants lived on the surrounding hills to protect themselves from Turkish raids. Because of the empty valley, the expression "da dol ni nič" (that there is nothing down there) became established, which over time grew into the name Dolnič, which then transformed into today's Dolič.
