The parish church of St Lawrence is first mentioned in 1426, and acquired its present appearance at the beginning of the 18th century.
Between 1690 and 1734 two side chapels were added to the church nave. The old Stations of the Cross were set up in 1733, outside the church, and in 1786 they were moved into the church.
The main altar is a high-quality Baroque work from the middle of the 18th century. In 1828 the bell tower was raised by an upper storey. The remaining furnishings were purchased around 1840. In 1897 the church was painted by Fantoni the Younger.
The bells were removed in both world wars, and excellent Grassmayr bells were procured in the 1980s.
In 1982 new organs were also purchased, comprising two manuals and 19 registers, the work of master Anton Jenko. The right side altar burned down in 1990 and has now been restored.
Next to the church there are also a cemetery and the old presbytery, which has a beautiful and richly profiled ceiling from 1784.
