Lake Biba

Lake Biba (1,397 m) lies on Menina planina, ~ 600 m northwest of Biba planina. The shallow lake is 40 m long and 30 m wide (as of May 2008) and lies in a 200 m long depression amid a heavily karstified landscape. The bottom of the depression is impermeable to water and waterlogged, so the lake probably has a larger surface area after a rainy period. In 1987 the lake was declared a natural monument.
