The cycling tour from Velenje beach to Gora Oljka is one of the most attractive recreational routes in the Saleska Valley, combining a lakeside setting, varied climbs and superb views. Gora Oljka (733 m) is considered a popular scenic destination above the valley, known for its panorama of the Savinjska region.
The route offers a varied cycling experience – from well-maintained routes along Lake Velenje to rural roads and gravel sections towards the summit. It is a moderately demanding tour, approximately 35–40 km long with about 800 m of climb, which places it among the popular challenges for recreational cyclists.
The special value of the route is the contrast between the relaxed start by the lake and the scenic finish on Gora Oljka, where wide views over the Saleska Valley and the surrounding hills open up.
Due to the variety of terrain, the views and the good connection with Velenje, this cycling loop is an excellent choice for an active trip, training or exploring one of the most beautiful cycling destinations in the region.
