Preserje Pond, also known as Lake Preserje, is a picturesque natural spot in the village of Preserje, just a stone's throw from the centre of Braslovce. This tranquil oasis by the Savinja River is an ideal choice for nature lovers, fishing tourism and outdoor relaxation.
The lake was created in the 1970s by artificially damming the Letus channel under the auspices of the Sempeter Angling Club. Today it is a popular destination for sport fishing and pleasant walks along the water. Right nearby there is also a catering and angling facility and the popular Nova rajngla inn, which offers visitors a top-class culinary experience.
In addition, visitors can take advantage of the picnic areas and access to the Savinja River, which creates a busy buzz at weekends. The pond is not only a natural attraction but also part of the historic fishing heritage of Braslovce. Already in the Middle Ages the local nobility and the church used the ponds to provide fish during the Lenten period.
An ideal destination for an active break, nature photography or a relaxed afternoon with your loved ones.
