Tresimir Park and children's playground

History says that in the distant past, Prince Tresimir came from beyond the Urals to his people and settled the area of present-day Šoštanj. Some time ago, by Lake Družmirje, with the support of the Velenje Coal Mine and the Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant, Tresimir Park was laid out as a children's playground.

Roman Pibernik, the initiator and project leader of the construction of Tresimir Park and a member of the council of the local community of Šoštanj, was pleased upon completion, alongside the children and parents who curiously followed the construction over the summer, since the park has been received with enthusiasm in Šoštanj.

In the park, which measures almost two and a half hectares in area, playground equipment for various age groups has been installed.
