Rinka Waterfall

 Rinka Waterfall

In the embrace of the mighty two-thousand-metre peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, in the cirque of Logarska Dolina, the magnificent, 90 m high Rinka waterfall delights. The Rinka waterfall, a soothing symphony of water.

The Rinka waterfall is one of the most beautiful, best-known and most visited waterfalls in Slovenia. On the trail through Logarska Dolina it sinks underground and surfaces as the source of the Črna. Later it also becomes part of the Savinja River, which is why it is considered its first source. On the way to Okrešelj we can also see two smaller cascades above the free-falling waterfall. In summer the waterfall is a popular tourist spot and ranks among the most beautiful Alpine jewels of Slovenia. It has the greatest flow in spring and autumn.

To the Eagle's Nest for a magnificent view. To the right of the waterfall is the Eagle's Nest, a small panoramic establishment where visitors can rest and refresh themselves with a drink. From the terrace of the refreshment stop there is an exceptional view of the spraying waterfall.
